WIP THE MOVIE- I have cast my main characters...come check them out :)

Who-hoo! How fun. The wonderful ladies Kyra and Rachel are co-hosting a fun bloghop.
I get to cast the lead characters in my WIP for their staring role in the blockbuster hit Unyielding.  And then I get to pick a song to sum up the story. NO PROBLEM! I've already casted my characters in my head, so each time they pop up in my story I can see them clearly and how they would act/react to each situation. (I have a photographic memory, so that probably helps:) So let's get started.

My MC was hard to cast as a teen.  My original book started with him as an adult, then I decided that story should be a book 2 and I went back 20 years for book 1. Djimon Hounsou was the adult...this was the closest I could find to his teen counterpart.

Everyone meet Gabe. Age seventeen.  Tall, thin, clumsy and hot tempered. A vigorous training routine whips him into shape though.  He is a friend for life, and will fight till the end for the ones he loves.  You don't want to be on the wrong side with him. He is an unyielding force. (I have no idea who this kid is...there was no one in hollywood that fit Gabe, I found this pic on a fantasy photo website)

Next is Rhet.  He's everything you love in a person.    Compassionate, selfless, strong...oh and super powerful. He does have a few secrets though that might surprise you.  (Logan Lerman)
Now for the supporting cast. Maria is tough as nails, best swords(wo)man around.  She has a soft spot for orphans and has taken these wayward misfits under her wing; her only weakness- them. (Catherine Zeta-Jones)

Next is her niece Delilah. A bit cold hearted but her and Gabe become quick friends. She is as fierce as her aunt. Ruthless. (no idea, just a character from a picture found online)

Then there is Steve. He's your class clown kind of character. A little annoying at times, but he's got a heart of gold and a joke to lighten every mood. (Jason Dolley)

And I have to introduce you to Steve's best friend Kid.  Kid hasn't aged past 10, or so...but if you ask him, he's older than 100.  (He's from another planet as many of these characters are) Kid is the biggest jerk you ever met in true Jersey style. Loud and mouthy with a comeback for anything. He doesn't give an inch and if you even look at him wrong he's all over you like a squirrel on crack. Yet somehow he's one of the good guys....I think. (sorry I couldn't find a better pic...I'll keep looking)

And Gabe's love interest is Nuri. Quiet, and mysterious.... (no idea)

My villain is Samael.  Cunning and manipulative....he loves to think he's the good guy. (Val Kilmer)

Then there's Dillon.  He's Samael's right hand man, but he develops a friendship with Rhet....two polar opposites, Rhet is pure good, Dillon is evil....their friendship is a problem. (Jim Caviezel)

And now for the song..... I literally listen to this song for inspiration.

So there you have it.

Excellent! I've noticed that Muse and Evanescence have been very popular for the soundtracks!

I am already in love with Gabe, your description of his is really interesting. Great work!

Jim Caviezel as the bad guy? Now that's casting against type.

@Kyra- yeah I love Muse...I decided to add Deliver me as well. Perfect for Rhet's character.

@Alex- Dillon is the bad guy you want to like. Even though he's murdered more than he can count, he has likeable characteristics. Jim was perfect for the part. (I envisioned him from 'The count of Monte Cristo- once he's in prison)

Ooo, very cool to see who you picture. Funny how each person has their own idea :) I wanted to see a picture of Kid!!! you forgot him! ;)
Great post Amber. :)

Great picks! I actually had Logan Lerman on my post, but my husband didn't think he seemed right for Erwin, so I changed it. :) He looks like the right fit for your character. Well done!

@Jade-I have been trying to figure out who Kid is, because I saw this boy in a movie at least 10 years ago...loud, jersey accent. But other than the boy, his face and attitude I can't remember anything about the movie. I have no clue what the movie was or who else was in it. I'm sure the actor is in his late 20's by now...but he's the one I see as Kid(back then). This boy from 'the sandlot' was the next closest I could find.

@Rachel- thanks. I think Logan is perfect because he's adorable, but not meant to be a hearthrob. Just a sweet boy next door kinda kid. :)

@Jade- and I meant to say- I added him just for you :)

Awesome music! And Val Kilmer as the bad guy brings shivers down my arms! I honestly don't think I've ever seen him play a villain before...but then again, I don't watch that many Val Kilmer movies! lol ;)

Awesome job! Your story sounds very well thought out.

@Morgan- thanks, I thought it was fun.

@Jack- my villians were chosen when I started this story. Now everytime I have a scene, I visualize Val and Jim and they are just perfect.

@Elizabeth- plot is def. my strength. I am a get-to-the-point, action writer...my weaknesses are details...I'm all about movement. My cp helps remind me to paint a picture. But yes...this story is very thought out :)

Logan Lerman is so popular with gay kids. That means he's definitely hot. Thanks for showcasing this blogfest. I wanted to participate but forgot who was doing it.
